Musical performances return to the Thursday evening Farmers Market in downtown Perrysburg this week.
Music at the Market, presented by Mercy Health, kicks off the outdoor summer concert season at 7 p.m., June 2 with the high energy music of Hepcat Revival.
The performance will take place on the Commodore Building lawn, 140 East Indiana Avenue.
The Perrysburg-based Hepcats have been together almost 25 years and are well known for their ability to keep toes tapping and fingers snapping to music from Louis Prima, Big Joe Turner and Cab Calloway, plus some original arrangements.
Members of Hepcat Revival are Greg Tye, vocals; Ken Zuercher, guitar; Pete Ford, keyboard; Vince Krolak, trumpet; Stan George, saxophone; Tom Ritter, bass guitar; and Travis Knepper, drums.
According to Robin Ballmer of Main ART-ery, who is coordinating the music series, the 2022 season will present a wide range of genres including jazz, classic rock, acoustic, original and cover music, jump blues, swing, bluegrass, pop and more.
“Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and settle in for a night of memorable music by the area’s greatest musicians and favorite bands,” she said.
