Live music returns to Slow Rollers on Monday, June 6, at 7 p.m., when the group will ride the Bicentennial Street route. Bruce Brodie, a member of local band Wolfe Creek Risin’, opens the 2022 season.

He will bring a new element to the Slow Roll as he strums his guitar and plays the harmonica for entertaining sing-alongs during the one-hour ride.

“In 2020, Bruce created the Slow Rollers theme song which he’ll sing again on June 6th,” said Charlie Gries.

Slow Roller musicians donate their time and talent to entertain riders and residents as the cyclists wind their way through the city. The musicians perform while being towed behind a four-wheel quad bike and trailer.

The public is invited to join the cycling group, which meets behind Vito’s Pizza in the Country Charm Shopping Center every Monday. Cyclists can arrive anytime between 6:30 and 7 p.m. The ride begins promptly at 7 p.m., and ends at Nedley’s ice cream at approximately 8 p.m. In case of rain, the ride is moved to Tuesday.

Mr. Gries will supply a bike to those who need one. For more information or to reserve a bike, call Mr. Gries at 419-779- 5445.
