Donald R. “Don” Creps passed away on February 7, 2022, at the age of 97. He was born on January 27, 1925, to Raymond and Lottie (Schramm) Creps in Perrysburg, Ohio. Don grew up on the family farm, formerly located at the corner of Glenwood Road and State Route 795. He graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1942 and was later drafted into the U.S. Army in June of 1943, serving in World War II and was discharged in June 1946. Don continued his federal service, working for many years, beginning at the Rossford Ordinance Depot, continuing on to the Erie Army Depot and eventually retiring in 1980 from the Tank Automotive Command in Warren, Michigan.

Don married Betty Jane Pocsik on October 2, 1948; they enjoyed 72 years of marriage until Betty’s passing in November 2020. Together, they raised four children, Analie (Peter) Kaighin, Randi (Jerry) Rehard, Michael (Brenda Lowe) Creps and David (Laurie) Creps. They were very proud of their five grandchildren, Kyle, Kari, Justin, Rachel and Mallory. They also enjoyed their four great-grandchildren, Breccan, Ava, Christian and Mac. After retirement, Don and Betty enjoyed traveling, as well as spending time with family and friends playing cards. They also were members of the Valleybrook Dance Club for many years. Don took many hunting and fishing trips with his friends, often to very remote locations.

Don is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his sister, Charlotte Freidheim of Tucson, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marian Kepler.

Family and friends were received at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Avenue, on Tuesday, February 15, from 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial was at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg.
