    When Amanda Lawrence was 15 years old and a student at Maumee High School, she saw 17-year-old Jonathan Smith jogging through the hallways with the track team and thought he was pretty cute.

    “I saw him run by and told my friend that I wanted to talk to him,” she said. “We started dating February 1, 2003. I was the pursuer. It was definitely love at first sight.”

    Her future husband noticed her, too. …
