Eileen H. Pohlman, age 93, passed away of natural causes on January 17, 2022 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 16, 1928, and lived there most of her life. She was the seventh of eight children born to Theodore and Helen Stelmaszak. Eileen attended Clay High School and worked at the American Swiss Company, where she met her husband, Earl Pohlman. After Earl’s untimely death, she continued to live in Toledo, raising her daughter, Laura, and son, Jeff. Later, she moved to Perrysburg, and then Charlotte, North Carolina.

Eileen was known for her elegant penmanship. She had a flair for home decorating, was a fabulous flower arranger, a snappy dresser and loved all animals, especially cats.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Anne Pohlman; husband, Earl William Pohlman; brothers, Edwin, Casper, Dan and John; sisters, Bernice, Virginia and Ester, and granddaughter, Kayeleigh Pohlman.

Surviving her are daughter, Laura (Jim) Duis of Charlotte; son, Jeffery (Mary) Pohlman; grandchildren, Jeffery Pohlman Jr. and Steven (Briana Beltran) Pohlman; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Toledo Humane Society.
