Ella Flora is conducting a holiday goods drive to benefit Bethany House through December 23.

Bethany House is a longterm shelter in northwest Ohio for victims and their children who are escaping domestic violence. It provides free services, tools and resources for survivors.

Since 1984, Bethany House has served more than 2,000 individuals and provided more than 300,000 nights of safe shelter for victims and their children escaping domestic abuse in our area. Items needed include paper towels, mouthwash, shaving supplies, lotion and $10 gift cards.

Ella Flora, 301 Superior Street, Rossford, features flowers, gifts, jewelry, wreaths, art, poinsettias and more. Many of their products come from Ohio and Michigan. Winter hours are: Tuesdays, noon to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays, noon to 5 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Bethany House does vital work in the northwest Ohio community, and we at Ella Flora are honored to help in any small way we can. We hope to gather as much as possible for the Bethany House,” said owner Brigitta Burks.

Those who donate can receive a free flower and 10 percent off their purchase.
