Michael J. Scavo, age 79, of Lemoyne, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at his son’s home in Perrysburg. He was born on August 3, 1942, in Toledo, to Jessie and Mary (Scavo) Briggs. On December 17, 1964, he married Mary Katakis, in Oregon, Ohio. Michael and Mary raised two children and celebrated nearly 57 years of marriage together.

Michael worked as a truck driver for 30 years, and the ∏ last 25 of those years with Chrysler before he retired. He was a former Shriner and a member of the Sandusky County Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed carving and whittling wood. Michael was a sports enthusiast, especially fond of the Cleveland Browns and the University of Michigan.

In addition to his wife, Mary, Michael is survived by his children, Anthony Scavo of Perrysburg and Annette Webb of Florida; grandchildren, Aaron, Jessa and Alanna, all of Florida; stepgrandchildren, Kaylin, Timothy, Dava and Cruce; step-sister, Maryann Tillman of Perrysburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Sierra Scavo, and step-brothers, John, Robert and Daniel Zapata
