    Author Brian Alexander was in town July 6 to discuss his nonfiction book “The Hospital,” which was released in March.

    Gathering Volumes bookstore hosted the discussion.

    The book follows residents of Bryan, Ohio, in their journies with the local hospital, which Mr. Alexander said is losing money, making it vulnerable to big health systems seeking domination.
