Perrysburg resident Sherina Ohanian is the newest member of the Owens Community College board of trustees.

She is the manager in program leadership for insights division, North America, of Kantar TNS, a global market research company, based in Northwood.

Mrs. Ohanian is taking the seat vacated by Ed Nagle III and will serve through September 2022.

She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a bachelor of science in computer science and management studies.

She began her career as a mathematics and business teacher before moving into strategic business research.

She has 24 years of extensive experience working for Fortune 500 companies in technology, automotive, consumer packaged goods and finance.

Mrs. Ohanian has been actively involved in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Perrysburg and a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.

Past volunteer service has included time as a member of the City of Perrysburg bicentennial committee, public information officer for the City of Perrysburg, president of the Perrysburg Elementary Parent Association and president of Parents Advocating Challenging Education (PACE).

The college’s board of trustees includes nine community leaders appointed by the Ohio governor for sixyear terms, chosen from the college’s service district of Wood, Lucas, Hancock, Ottawa and Sandusky counties.

In addition to Mrs. Ohanian, Owens board of trustee members include Mary Beth Hammond, Dr. Srinivas Hejeebu, Jason Johnson, Karil Morrissey, Richard Rowe, Rita Russell and Dee Talmage.
