On April 28, the grand jury indicted the following students:

•Jacob Krinn, 20, of Delaware, Ohio, for involuntary manslaughter, first-degree felony; involuntary manslaughter, third-degree felony; reckless homicide, a felony of the third degree; felonious assault, second-degree felony; obstructing official business, misdemeanor of the second degree

•Troy M. Henrickson, 23, of Grove City, Ohio for involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide and tampering with evidence, third-degree felonies; eight counts of hazing, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree

•Daylen X. Dunson, 21, of Cleveland, for involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business, third-degree felonies, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the first degree

•Canyon J. Caldwell, 21, or Dublin, Ohio, involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence, third-degree felonies; eight counts of hazing, misdemeanors of the fourth degree; obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor

•Aaron J. Lehane, 21, of Loveland, Ohio, tampering with evidence, third-degree felony; obstructing official business a misdemeanor of the second degree; eight counts of hazing, fourth-degree misdemeanors

•Jarrett Prizel, 19, of Olean, New York, eight counts of hazing, fourth-degree misdemeanors

•Niall R. Sweeney, 21, of Erie, Pennsylvania, eight counts of hazing, fourth-degree misdemeanors

•Benjamin Boyers, 21, of Sylvania, eight counts of hazing, misdemeanors of the fourth degree.

According to county prosecutor Paul Dobson, the firstdegree involuntary manslaughter charge carries a maximum penalty of 11 years in prison, and the third degree felony involuntary manslaughter charge carries a maximum sentence of three years as do the reckless homicide, tampering with evidence and obstructing justice charges. As a second-degree felony, the felonious assault charge carrries a sentence of up to eight years in prison.

The incident occurred March 4 at a fraternity event at an off-campus house that Mr. Foltz was required to attend along with other new members.

The victim was later discovered unresponsive by his roommate in their apartment. The roommate administered CPR until first responders arrived.

Mr. Foltz was rushed to Wood County Hospital and transferred to Toledo Hospital where he died March 7. The Lucas County coroner ruled the death as an accident as the result of a fatal level of alcohol intoxication in what appeared to be a hazing incident.

Mr. Dobson expressed appreciation to the Bowling Green Police Department at BGSU police and administration for their cooperation during the investigation.

Alex Solis, BGSU deputy chief of staff and spokesperson, issued a statement regarding criminal following the indictments. “Bowling Green State University is appreciative of the hard work and diligence done by the prosecutor and a grand jury to seek justice and hold those accountable in the tragic death of student Stone Foltz. At this time, the university refers all questions regarding the law enforcement investigation and criminal cases to the county prosecutor and Bowling Green police.”
