The city pool will open this summer, according to Perrysburg Mayor Tom Mackin.

“After conversations between the leadership in our city administration and in the YMCA, we believe the municipal pool can be opened to city residents in a manner that allows for compliance with all state guidelines and requirements,” the mayor said. “The YMCA has demonstrated their ability to operate swimming pools safely during the summer of 2020 when the YMCA had several of their own pools open to their membership.”

Mayor Mackin explained that although not all details have been worked out, “we do know we will be selling resident pool passes, have a set capacity, and utilize the YMCA’s reservation system to make sure social distancing can be safely practiced.”
