Travis Jurgens, music director for the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, has announced the first 2021 musical series offered by the Michael Moody Chamber Programs.

On Friday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m., the livestreamed program will include three compositions played by a trio of the orchestra’s instrumentalists.

The first composition, by composer Franz Joseph Haydn, is “Trio in G Major for Flute, Cello and Piano.” It will be performed by flautist Connie Alleshouse, cellist Gloria Heacock and pianist Robin Price.

The second composition, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, will be Alec Rowley’s, “Short Trio on Irish Tunes, Op. 46,” by cellist James Anderson, violinist Sarah Magoun and pianist Elaine Moore.

The final composition, written for cello, violin and piano by Ludwig van Beethoven, is “Piano in D Major, Op. 79, No. l,” performed by James Anderson, Sarah Magoun and Elaine Moore.

The series is sponsored in honor of the late Michael Moody by his family.

A concert is being planned for April 23 featuring an array of classical favorites by Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert.
