On March 5, Wood County Commissioner and board president Doris Herringshaw was administered a follow-up COVID-19 vaccination.

At press time, eligibility for the vaccines has expanded to include people who are 60 or older, are pregnant, have certain medical conditions, or work in occupations such as child care, funeral services and law enforcement.
