Perrysburg resident Jaydon Whiting set the kids world record January 30 in the boys 10 to 12 category for juggling three balls for the longest amount of time.
He juggled for 26 minutes. His mother shot the video and registered it with Kids World Records.
The 11-year-old fifthgrader at Hull Prairie Elementary is the son of Corey and Andrea Whiting.
“I’ve been juggling since I was 6 years old,” Jaydon said. “I practice about an hour every day, most of the time at home and sometimes at the gym."
Jaydon believes persistence is key to developing good juggling skills.
“You have to be dedicated,” he said. “I can juggle with five balls now and am working up to six.”
Hand-eye coordination helps, too, he noted.
Those who have attended Harrison Rally Day might recognize Jaydon. He juggles while walking on stilts with the Perrysburg Twirlers, a local group coached by his mother.
