The Waterville Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to attend the 2021 great “Luck of the Ball Drop.”

Sponsored by Shawn’s Irish Tavern, Yark Automotive and Paramount, the event will take place at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 13, when 500 foam golf balls will be dropped from a drone at the old Waterville Primary School site, at River and Farnsworth roads, Waterville.

The ball drop is a raffle with the ball that lands in or closest to a golf-hole sized cup winning $500. Second closest will take away $250, followed by third closest $100, and furthest from the cup $50.

Waterville Chamber Executive Director, Corina Pfleghaar, said, “The Luck of the Drop contest is a great way for friends, neighbors and work associates to enjoy a safe outdoor event, while supporting the community “

She noted that a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit business grants for Waterville businesses.

Ball drop tickets are $10 each or three for $25.
