Area communities will be hosting Independence Day Fireworks at 10 p.m. over the next week. They are:

•Springfield Township Freedom Celebration at Community Homecoming Park, Angola Road. Family-friendly activities begin at 5 p.m. and are free.

•Washington Township Thunder Over the River at Shoreland Fire Station, Shoreland Avenue.
