Although this story was recorded several years ago, it never made print. Lester Jones died in 2019 at age 90. His family would like to share his hometown story with the community.
“I was born in 1929 at home,” Mr. Jones began. “Our family lived on Maple Street. I don’t remember the address but it was out beyond Seventh Street and considered the country then,” he said, laughing.
