Summer in Perrysburg is shaping up.

There will be a farmers market and music this season, according to Sandy Latchem, executive director of the Perrysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau.

“The market will be open on Thursdays from May 6 through October 14, if all goes according to plan,” Ms. Latchem said.

Hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. There will be vendors on Louisiana Avenue and West Third Street.

“Food trucks will be on Louisiana Avenue, south of Third Street,” Ms. Latchem explained.

Mercy Health Music at the Market concerts will be held on the Commodore lawn at the corner of Indiana and Louisiana avenues on Thursdays during June, July and August, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The O~Deer Diner Car Show starts May 7 and runs until the second week in October at the corner of East Indiana and Louisiana avenues–just across from the diner itself. Hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. each Friday.

Car lovers of all shapes, ages and sizes will be there with their favorite wheels. Food, downtown Perrysburg, cars and car lovers–what’s not to love?

Additionally, the 577 Foundation is working on a phased re-opening.

The following changes will remain in effect as long as safety protocols are followed, such as mask wearing and social distancing:

•The courtyard bathrooms will be open for use. Mask wearing will be required in the bathroom, regardless of vaccination status.

•Outdoor nature play areas will be open. This includes the children’s garden, solar display, kaleidoscope and dig.

Take a spade and brush for the dig; tools will not be provided this year.

•Picnic tables, chairs and benches will be installed outside for the season.

Staff will disinfect them once a day, but guests are welcome to clean them before and after use.

•Plan to carry out any garbage generated during a visit, as trash receptacles will not be provided.

Also, the city pool is scheduled to open for the summer, although details continue to be worked out.
