“In the bleak days of winter, everyone could use a little reminder of Mother Nature’s color palette, don’t you agree?” said Christine Best, executive director of the Perrysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, when announcing the farmers market will take place this year.

The market will take place downtown each Thursday from May 5 through October 13.

“There will be fresh and local produce, plants, flowers, crafts, food trucks and more,” Mrs. Best said.

The market will run from 3 to 8 p.m., and is rain-or-shine, “although the merchants have final say in whether they brave the weather or not,” she noted.

The Perrysburg CVB social media pages will share changes in the participating merchant list when necessary.

“Local food truck favorites will line Louisiana Avenue from 4 to 8 p.m. during the market,” Mrs. Best said. “The line-up will be posted each week on the newly formed social media pages for the CVB (@visit perrysburg on FB & IG, @pburgcvb on TW).

Returning for another season of free, live music is Music at the Market, which is held on the Commodore Building lawn every Thursday night from June 2 through August 25.

“Concertgoers are encouraged to BYOB–Bring Your Own Blanket–or a lawn chair and enjoy the free music from 7 to 8:30 p.m.,” Mrs. Best explained. “Concerts are weather-dependent, and cancellations will be posted by 5 p.m. of concert days on social media pages.”

Mrs. Best hopes there are big crowds at the market.

“Take home some beautiful, seasonal cut flowers or grab dinner for the family. Explore the merchant booths for gardening tips, organic produce, seasonings for every heat level, or check out the artwork and crafts handmade by area small businesses. We’re so happy to be back for another season.”

Those interested in becoming a merchant or food truck vendor may fill out an application.

“Applications are available under the ‘Farmers Market’ tab on visitperrysburg.com and must be submitted by April 15 for consideration,” Mrs. Best noted.
