As our President is fond of saying, “here’s the thing:” our city and township are named for Oliver Hazard Perry.

Our Harrison Rally Day festival is named for one of the many U.S. Presidents who campaigned here and lent their names to our history, yet William Henry Harrison served in that capacity for only 31 days.
