Paris-Pearl Abia, a sixth grader at Hull Prairie Intermediate, was reading a book in October 2020, which featured students who create a school newspaper.

The idea resonated so she told her English language arts teacher, Jacqueline LaFountain, about it and asked if students could create a newspaper for HPI.
