The cities of Perrysburg and Maumee will partner to host the annual fireworks display, Saturday, July 3; the rain date is July 4.

The event was canceled last year because of the.pandemic.

Fireworks will begin at dusk and will last approximately 20 to 25 minutes. As in past years, the cities will split the cost of the fireworks display, which will be $15,000 for each.

Fort Meigs Historic Site will allow visitors on their property for the annual event. The fireworks will be shot off from the Fort Meigs Memorial Bridge at dark. Food trucks will be on site to provide refreshments.

“We are excited to be able to again celebrate our independence with neighbors and friends, and we look forward to seeing the community gather to watch the fireworks show,” said Mayor Tom Mackin.
