The Department of Public Service will be placing new informational stickers on refuse and recycling Toters.

Crews will be placing these stickers on garbage day.

Residents are asked to leave their Toters out until 3:30 p.m. on garbage day so crews can get to them.

Residents are asked to be patient as this process will take more than one week to complete.

The stickers on the refuse Toters indicate items not accepted in refuse collection, as well as the proper positioning for Toters, large items and yard waste bags.

The stickers on the recycling Toters indicate what items are accepted for recycling.

If the item is not on the sticker, it is not accepted for recycling.

Remember, if in doubt, throw it out.
