William (Bill) Rich, of Perrysburg, finished his race on earth and entered heaven on December 25, 2025, at the age of 95. He was born April 13, 1930, in Akron, to Lawrence and Ida (Melvin) Rich.

Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a branch manager at Ohio Citizen’s Trust Bank in Maumee. He was a manager at Lamson’s department store for many years. Bill then enjoyed being a salesman at the Appliance Center, even starring in one of their TV commercials.

Bill was a man of great faith. His spiritual journey included a brief time at a monastery as he sought the Lord. He was a member of Oak Bend Church, which became his family. His life was devoted to praying for, serving and encouraging others.

He is survived by his nephew, Charles (Julia) Krouse; great-nephew, Steven (Danielle) Krouse, and great-great-nephew, Westin David Krouse. He was preceded in death by his parents, along with his sisters, Freda Fleming, Delores Sanders and Ruby Krouse; his infant brother, Dempsey; niece, June Boccuti, and nephew, Eddie Fleming.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, February 21, at 2 p.m., at Oak Bend Church, 11275 Eckel Junction Road, Perrysburg, with Pastor Daniel Watkins officiating.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Patty Garcia, who was Bill’s home health aide for more than 20 years.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Bend Church and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
