States’ attorney generals settle with wireless giants

On May 9, Attorney General Dave Yost said states’ attorneys general reached a $10.25 million settlement with large wireless companies. The settlements, involving the largest wireless carriers in the United States, resolve the 50 attorneys general investigations into deceptive and misleading advertising practices.

Addiction task force to meet on June 7

The Wood County Prevention Coalition/Addiction Task Force will meet Friday, June 7, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the Wood County Educational Service Center. At the March meeting, the group heard two guest presentations.
