Perrysburg Township Deputy Police Chief Matt Gazarek, who has been serving as interim chief following the retirement of Mark Hetrick on August 15, has been tapped as the new chief.
At the October 4 meeting, the trustees appointed Chief Gazarek to fill the position on a permanent basis. He will receive a 3 percent pay increase, bringing his annual salary to $113,119.
