Voters approve fire, recreation levies
Rossford voters in Tuesday’s general election supported four new property tax levies and returned three incumbent school board members to office, according to unofficial vote totals from the Wood County Board of Elections.
A 2.8-mill, five-year levy to fund equipment for the fire department was approved 991 to 517. It will pay for capital improvements including self-contained breathing apparatus, turnout gear and fire/EMS vehicles.
A 1-mill, five-year levy to pay for fire/EMS personnel also was supported by voters, 1,032 to 483.
