Local officials pleased with rail crossing
A new and improved railroad crossing at Rossford’s “front door” opened last week to the acclaim of local officials and thousands of area motorists.
The Dixie Highway rail crossing replacement by Pilkington stopped traffic in both directions for 10 days while the nearly $400,000 project was completed.
Upon the re-opening on Tuesday, October 17, Mayor Neil MacKinnon III thanked the many local agencies involved in the work. He also noted the work of attorney Rex Huffman of the Wood County Port Authority.
