Amenities planned in new junior high/ high school buildings
An indoor running track, art gallery, outdoor dining area and four wings of academic classrooms are all part of the designs for the new Rossford Schools junior high/high school complex.
Representatives from the Collaborative architect firm and Gilbane construction company explained the plans at the August 21 Rossford Board of Education meeting.
“We’re early in the design development for the high school, and expect to finish in December,” said architect John Castellana of the Collaborative. “It’s about two to three months behind the elementary schedule.”
Mr. Castellana described details of the three stories of floor plans to the board. [See diagram below.] The primary visitors entrance will be on the west side of the building off the current main parking lot. It will feature a secure vestibule with the school offices on one side and district offices on the other, he added.
