Wildlife program at River Raisin set for Jan. 12
River Raisin National Battlefield Park will host a wildlife event about a Michigan bird that was a common sight during the 1800s and remains so today–the whitebreasted nuthatch.
Attendees will learn birding etiquette, how to identify the nuthatch in the wild, ongoing habitat preservation efforts, and more.
The program will be held Saturday January 12, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., at the park located at 1403 East Elm Avenue, Monroe, Michigan.
