The Picturesque Point

Every so often, “The Picturesque Point” will showcase a creative photograph—taken by Point Place/Shoreland locals—that captures the natural scenic beauty of the area.

To kick off the new year, this old picture captures a calm moment at the penninsula at Cullen Park. J. Murray Stewart took this photograph while exploring with his wife several years ago, locking in his camera settings just right for highlighting the scenery. “Given that, a beautiful day and a lot of luck, Eureka!” he explained.

Readers of the Point and Shoreland Journal can share their perspective of the “Best Place, Any Place” by sending their nature photographs to the paper.
