ODOT seeks public comment for proposed I-280 bridge project
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 is proposing to replace portions of the deck driving surface of the bridge that carries Navarre Avenue/State Route 2 over I-280 in the City of Oregon. The bridge work will require a 30-day closure for vehicles and pedestrians. The ramps will remain open. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2020. During construction, a detour for pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be posted.
For this project, ODOT is seeking questions and comments from the public. Specifically, they are requesting comments regarding environmental or social issues related to this project, including, but not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, the pedestrian and vehicular detours, cultural resources (archaeological and history/architectural), ecological resources (streams, wetlands, etc.) and hazardous materials (dump sites, underground and above ground storage tanks, etc.).
