Softball seniors hoping for another crack at states
The seniors of Perrysburg High School’s varsity softball team will play their last season together, starting with league play upon returning from a practice session in Florida.
Jordyn Bogdanski, Marika Deemer, Kate Dheel, Anna Koeppel, Reyann Kruger, Halie Monhollen, Morgan Pruss, and Abby Seely say their goal is to help their team make it to states again—and win.
The team record is 75-12. They won the Northern Lakes League championships for the last three years. Last year, they made it to the top four in states.
“We’re going to be working hard,” Abby said.
A big part of the seniors’ winning formula is chemistry. “Seven of us have been teammates since the age of 12,” Kate noted.
Marika joined them five years ago when she moved to Perrysburg as an eighth grader.
Another key ingredient to their success on the field is their relationships off the field.
