Six more weeks of winter

Paper snowballs fly as Hucky Too announces forecast
On a cold, sunny February 2, Holland Huckleberry Too emerged from his hutch, casting his shadow and forecasting six more weeks winter.

Charlie and Terri Hoag, “parents” of the groundhog, read old blue eyes’ prediction to about 50 people attending this year’s event at the couple’s Springfield Township home.

Prior to Hucky’s forecast, Pastor Josh Plaisance of the Dwelling Place church in Holland gave a blessing of the groundhog and its prediction. “Our prayer today is to see the clouds in the sky so we may see spring arrive early,” the pastor said.
