City council approves code of conduct for itself

Perrysburg City Council passed an ordinance at their January 5 meeting that will govern their code of conduct during public meetings.

The vote was 6-1 with Councilwoman Deborah Born voting against the measure.

The request for a code of conduct was initiated following a recreation committee meeting in 2020 during which it was perceived that the verbal communications of Ms. Born, chair of the committee, to a member of the community fell outside the standards of decorum.
