The Gathering of Quilters will meet Thursday, April 18, at Holland Free Methodist Church, 6605 Angola Road, Holland. Enter at south end of building. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

Caribbean Masquerade Ball set to dazzle attendees on Friday, April 19

In just a few weeks, Perrysburg Rotarians and guests will “go down” to the Caribbean for an evening of music, dancing and food. On Friday, April 19, the Perrysburg Rotary Club will host a Caribbean Masquerade Ball at the Hilton Garden Inn, beginning at 6 p.m. Advance tickets are $100 per person and include a sit-down dinner. Tickets can be purchased online at per rysburgrotary.org.

577 to recycle eclipse glasses

After viewing the eclipse, residents can recycle their special glasses at the 577 Foundation. The foundation has partnered with Keep Toledo/ Lucas County Beautiful and have an eclipse glasses recycling box in the Welcome Center and Curiosity Shop at 577.

Spafford House Museum to open April 13

The Spafford House Museum, 27340 West River Road, Perrysburg, will open on Saturday, April 13, from noon to 5 p.m., and every Saturday through October. The house, built by Aurora Spafford (1794-1849), son of the town’s founder, Amos, is 200 years old.

‘Sci‐Fi Movies’ topic of Tea and Talk April 18

Joy Bennett, of the Hancock Historical Museum, will be the speaker for the upcoming Tea and Talk on Thursday, April 18. The program will begin at 2 p.m., at the Wood County Museum located at 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green.

PHS student participates in ‘Think Fast’ competition

On April 1, Safe Communities of Wood County hosted Think Fast, an interactive presentation designed to help young drivers understand the importance of safe driving. About 400 students attended the presentations which took place at Penta Career Center in Perrysburg Township.

New Unison Health program to help end substance use

Unison Health, in partnership with the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board (ADAMHS), will offer a new Substance Use Disorder (SUD) navigation program, a new initiative that works one on one with individuals in Wood County struggling with substance use.
