Robert E. Stallter, 88, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022. Bob was born May 7, 1934, in Mendon, Ohio, to Carl and Helen (Dick) Stallter. He married Connie Crutch on October 19, 1962, and they shared 60 years together.

Bob earned his bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University after serving for two years in the U.S. Army. He sold insurance for Medical Protective Company for 32 years.

Bob was an avid Buckeye fan, enjoyed boating and eating pie. He played racquetball three days a week until he was 80. Bob enjoyed watching Perrysburg High School sports, where the athletes called him Grandpa. He was passionate about cars, especially antiques ones, and was a member of the Black Swamp car club. He was active in church, where he served in many capacities.

After retirement, his daily routine included going to the YMCA at 4:30 a.m., Tim Hortons at 5, Way library at 9 and out to lunch at 11. He went home and watched the 12 o’clock news with Connie and would take a nap. In the afternoon he took drives to watch the crops grow or the fishermen and stopped to attend PHS home games. In the evenings he took a bath, ate dinner at 5, watched tennis or Lawrence Welk and went to bed at 8.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his six grandchildren. He will be missed by his wife, Connie, as well as daughters and grandkids, Bethany (BK) Rinehart, Alyssa Rinehart and Janel (Donovan) Petrey of Florida; McCristy (Ron) Gould, Jory, Meegan and Topher Gould of Cincinnati, and Debbie and Nikolas Mancy of Perrysburg.

Friends and family were received Saturday, August 27, from noon to 2 p.m., at Perrysburg First Church, 200 West Second Street, Perrysburg, where a memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Burial was private.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to WitzlerShank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg.
