Richard Modrzynski, 70, of Urbana, formerly of Perrysburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born December 29, 1951, in Toledo, the son of Sylvester and Eleanor (Gerber) Modrzynski.

Richard was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football teams. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, working outside and Thirsty Thursdays. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Walker) Modrzynski; daughters, Ashley (Mike) Flanagan, Jamie (Greg) Beavers, Meghan (Ted) Greek, Molly (Dustin) Matthews; grandchildren, Colin and Kira Flanagan, Walker and Wyatt Greek; siblings, James (Deanna) Modrzynski, Randy (Jill) Modrzynski and Barb (Tom) Reiser, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice Wilson.

A memorial service is being planned for spring 2023 in Perrysburg.
