Nancy Ann Smithers, 85, of Perrysburg, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Walton County, Florida. Nancy was born July 5, 1937, in Toledo, to Sylvester and Ethel (Hahn) Walker. She married Paul C. Smithers on July 12, 1958, at Zoar Lutheran Church.

After high school, Nancy worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford and then worked many years at NAMSA. She was a lifelong member of Zoar Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Nancy was a member of All Thumbs Garden Club.

She and her husband, Paul were an inseparable couple; you could find them gardening, Π

golfing, bicycling, playing bridge, swimming, dancing or walking miles on the beach together. Nancy always looked forward to having lunch dates with her friends and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul; children, Keith (Valerie) Smithers, Scott (Rita) Smithers and Beth (Cherie Autrey) Smithers; grandchildren, Kyle Smithers, Ollie (fiancé Sean Allison) Smithers, Leanne (Khaled Jarwan) Smithers, Lauren Smithers, Sophie Smithers, Kristina Smithers and Maria Smithers; sister, Susan (Jim) Dowling, and brother-in-law, Robert (Kathleen) Smithers. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Jennie (Buddy) Ferguson.

Friends and family were received Friday, January 20, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg. A memorial service was held Saturday, January 21, at 11 a.m., at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana, Perrysburg, with Pastor Paul Reichert, officiating. Burial was private.
