Louise “Lou” Bedra passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022, at the age of 95. Born in Perrysburg, to Frank and Hattie Grueshaber on July 31, 1927. Louise worked her way through and graduated from Harriet Whitney High School. She continued working throughout the rest of her life. Louise married Louis J. Hannah and a son was born, Jack Gary, the greatest source of pride and joy in her life.

For 20 years, Louise was employed as copywriter, continuity director and in programming at various TV and radio stations including WSPD-TV (now WTVG); radio stations WOHO and WMGS, and WTOL-TV. Louise also worked in the offices of her family physician and for several other companies In 1959, Louise married Paul Bedra, moving to Oak Harbor. Louise was hired by Northern/Nelson company in 1975, where she was employed full time until 1992, and then worked part time until 2010.

Louise is survived by her beloved family–grandson, Scott (AmyJo) Hannah; great-granddaughters, Margaret, Elizabeth and Caroline Hannah; granddaughter, Karen Seymour; great-grandchildren, Jacey, Amber and Garret Seymour.

She also is survived by daughters-in-law, Ann Hannah and Christine Bedra; grandson, Aaron (Erin) Bedra; great-granddaughter, Ryan Bedra; granddaughter, McKenzie Bedra; adopted son, Fredrick Bedra (Jayne Largent), plus many dear nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her beloved son, Jack Gary; her parents; husband; brothers, Frank Grueshaber Jr., Edward, Harry, Darcy, Roy and Allen Mills; sisters, Neoma Caroline Mills and Hattie Mae Coulter, and special son, Craig Bedra.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Witzler-Shank-Walker funeral home. At Louise’s request, there will be no visitation and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make donations to the American Diabetes Association for Type I, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or First St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1121 Grasser Street, Oregon, Ohio.
