Janet Marie Pizzato, age 67, of Perrysburg, died suddenly on September 26, 2022. She was born in Oconto, Wisconsin, on September 27, 1954. She was the daughter of Robert and Harriet Schmit of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Janet was one of 10 children and graduated from Southwest High School in Green Bay, in the Class of 1972.
Janet married Joseph Pizzato of Lusiana, Italy, on August 31, 1974. They lived in Streamwood, Illinois, where she worked at Humana Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. In 1987, she and her family moved to Perrysburg, and she worked at the Conservatory in Perrysburg and Dominics in Toledo. Later, she worked at Goodwill Industries and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
Janet was one of a kind person who could talk to anyone. She would always call her extended family to catch up and find out what was going on in their life. She had the gift of gab. Janet always made sure her family received a card on their birthday, holiday or any special occasion. She loved to play cards and games with her grandchildren, and she had a great laugh.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Adrianna; son, Nicholas (Amanda), and grandchildren, Alivia and Asher. Also surviving are her siblings, Joanne (Michael) Chaudoir, John (Margie) Schmit, James (Karen) Schmit; Jerry (Debbie) Schmit, Jane (Eric) Washington, Joel (Holly) Schmit, Jennifer (William) Bentley and Jill Schmit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents, Robert and Harriet, and sister, Jean.
