Helen R. Mullen Burnard passed into everlasting light on October 30, 2022, ending a life well lived. She was born on June 3, 1940, in Ft. Worth, Texas, and lived in the Toledo, Perrysburg and Bowling Green area since 1955.

Surviving are her husband of 60.5 years, James F. Burnard, and children, Mark (Marie) of Tampa, Florida; William (Katherine) of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and James (Michelle) of Perrysburg. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Erica, Alex, Mark J., Meghan, Margo, Mathias, Audrey, John, Regina and James, as well as her great-grandchildren, Lilly and Jordan. Her siblings, WC Mullen III (Carol) and John Mullen also survive her. Preceding her in death are her daughter, Paula Taynor; sister, Mary; brotherin- law, Patrick, as well as sister- in-law, Jill. Helen approached everything she did with passion and enthusiasm, and claimed never to have been bored. She worked many years for Ohio councils of Girl Scouts of the USA, other nonprofit agencies and retired in 2004. Her love of family, the water in all its forms and dogs was boundless. Friends and family will be received Friday, November 11, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Witzler- Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 12, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Front Street, Perrysburg.
