Alice T. LaHote, 92, of Perrysburg, passed away October 26, 2022. She was born May 12, 1930, at home in Perrysburg Township, to the late Ernest and Helen (Lepper) Haas. She married Donald LaHote on April 15, 1950, and he preceded her in death December 26, 2004.

After her 1948 graduation from Perrysburg High School, Alice worked as a secretary for Willy’s Overland, before embracing her role as a stay-at-home mom with her four sons. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the blessings in her life.

She was a lifelong member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. With her husband, Don, Alice enjoyed golf, camping, biking and attending their children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Alice and Don loved traveling throughout North America and Europe, and wintered in Florida. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard. Alice was a devoted volunteer for Glenwood School, the American Red Cross and the Kitchen of Hope in Perrysburg.

Alice is survived by her sons, David (Ruth) LaHote of Bowling Green, Larry (Kris) LaHote of Waterville, Craig (Nancy) LaHote of Perrysburg and Todd (Maureen) La-Hote of Louisville, Kentucky. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Wesolowski, Tracy (Jake) Vanneman, Lindsay (Austin) Rozelle, Erika LaHote, Alex (Kelly) LaHote, Evan (Hannah) LaHote, Jessica LaHote, Natalie LaHote and Olivia LaHote, 10 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Dottie Sarver of Luckey and Peg Lauer of Perrysburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; brothers, Ernest “Spike” Haas, Barney Haas, Truman Haas and Kenneth “Duke” Haas, and sister, Marietta Seifert.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Front Street, Perrysburg. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning at the church, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, PCU-Perrysburg Christians United or St. Rose Church.
