On August 17, a Wood County grand jury indicted a Perrysburg resident. Joey Bates Jr., 54, 250 Manor Drive, was indicted for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.

According to court records, the incident occurred July 2, when Mr. Bates allegedly attempted to steal a vehicle. If convicted, he faces more than one year in prison and fines of $5,000.
