John Spengler, of Perrysburg, graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison following the spring semester.

He received a bachelor of arts, economics and political science degree.

The commencement speaker was U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
