The 10th hole was dedicated to former Perrysburg Messenger Journal editor Deb Buker, a dog lover and huge supporter of the annual event, who passed away in 2020. Above are Mrs. Buker’s husband Les and son Scott.
The annual Putts for Mutts, sponsored in part by Welch Publishing Company, was a success with organizers raising $15,000.
Held July 24 at the Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, the event raised funds to benefit Fur Angels Rescue Shelter.
“We had 26 golf teams plus about 30 people attend the luncheon and silent auction portion,” said Jill Borkowski of Holland, event co-chair.
