Two school staff members were honored upon their retirements by the school board. They are Lisa Wagner, PHS science teacher from 1991 to 2022, and Dave Boyce, PHS assistant principal, teacher and coach from 2000 to 2022. Hiring staff to prepare for the school year beginning next month, the Perrysburg Board of Education took a number of actions related to personnel at their June 20 board meeting.
Board member Lori Reffert noted that the hiring process has not been easy in the current job market.
An open position for a science teacher at the high school only garnered three applicants, she said.
