A transformer apparently ignited a small fire near the railroads tracks at Ford and White roads last Wednesday.

The Perrysburg Township fire department received the call at 9:07 p.m., and dispatched four units. No mutual aid was used.

Fire Chief Tom Brice noted the fire appears to have been caused by the transformer and was brought under control quickly after Toledo Edison cut power to the line.
