Dear Editor:

I would like to thank parade organizers for their Grand Marshal selections of Gary Franks, Richard Baranowski and Mark Weber for the Holiday Parade to be held December 4, at 2 p.m.

I have known these three men for a time while living in Perrysburg. These men as I have seen are the “worker bees” behind the scenes for many projects supporting: Perrysburg history, Perrysburg schools, Perrysburg veterans, Way Public Library and many other civic minded projects and programs.

Their joint talents and dedication to Perrysburg are amazing. Perrysburg should be proud of these men and many other people in our community who give of themselves so unselfishly.

This Perrysburg spirit reminds me of a town out west that I was in during my business travels, that displayed the following bumper stickers and signs–“I am not from here but got here as soon as I could!”

To me, the above mentioned men represent the feeling I and others have for Perrysburg and Perrysburg Township. Jack Bushmeyer
