Twp. trustees review 2020 zoning report
Despite a year that saw many twists and turns in the local economy, the Springfield Township zoning department maintained a relatively healthy amount of activity.
“2020 was a unique year,” said planning director Jacob Barnes at the township trustees January 4 meeting. “But it was pretty solid overall.”
The department issued 301 permits last year, 60 of which were for new dwellings. Those numbers were similar to 2019 when 338 permits were issued, including 64 for new dwellings.
“Despite the pandemic, we had another busy year,” he noted, adding that the number of new dwellings was slightly lower “but still a very solid number.”
